Clinical Coder/Auditor/Educator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coder/Auditor/Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate clinical coding, leading processes to improve coding accuracy, and providing continuous clinical documentation improvement and coded data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical coding
- Lead processes to improve coding accuracy through mentoring, audits, education, and query processes
- Provide continuous clinical documentation improvement, coded data analysis, and activity-based funding education
- Bring clinical coding expertise to a dedicated team, drive process improvement, and support other clinical coding staff through mentoring and education development
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management) and/or relevant Clinical Coding qualifications with eligibility for HIMAA membership
- Current experience in clinical coding auditing across a broad range of casemix at a base to tertiary facility level with a commitment to ongoing skills and competence
- Demonstrated ability to extract data from source systems and data warehouses and implement/use available clinical coding audit tools
- Highly developed communication and leadership skills with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate clinical coding quality and audit results to key stakeholders
