We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Professional to join our team at WJ Matthews (Holdings) Pty Ltd in Northern New South Wales. As a Diesel Engine Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical background experience, with a solid understanding of diesel and petrol engines, fuel systems, steering systems, transmissions, brake systems, hydraulic valves and cylinders, electrical starting, charging, and accessories. You will also possess good analysing and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems, as well as a hard worker with a practical personality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair faults in diesel and petrol engines, fuel systems, steering systems, transmissions, brake systems, hydraulic valves and cylinders, electrical starting, charging, and accessories.
- Liaise with spare parts team to determine required parts for repairs.
- Complete repair and services within reasonable time frames.
- Process workshop service/repair documentation on a daily basis.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary package up to $90,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Opportunity to work with a reputable farm machinery dealership supplying sales, service, and parts backup to row-crop and broadacre farmers throughout Northern New South Wales.
