Senior Construction Inspector Role

The position of Senior Construction Inspector involves overseeing project construction from pre-construction through finalization, with a strong focus on cost and schedule containment.

As a certified construction professional, the successful candidate will have extensive experience in supervision, observation, safety oversight, and inspection, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.

This role works closely with clients to achieve the best value, schedule, and quality for projects including heavy highway, bridges, intersection and traffic signal improvements, marine works, water/wastewater transmission, building and vertical construction, park and recreation projects, and asset assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect bridge and highway construction projects, measuring quantities, documenting work via reports, photos, and sketches.
  • Coordinate and oversee construction inspection documentation.
  • Ensure work complies with specifications.
  • Apply project plans, policies, standards, and specifications to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain project documentation and communicate effectively across all project levels.
  • Coordinate activities on-site and resolve related issues.
Requirements:
  • Experience with transportation projects as a Construction Inspector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general and highway construction is advantageous.
  • A CI or Construction Certification, or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong communication and mathematics skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and software.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Experience with Appia and/or CEES is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
