Job Summary

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers play a vital role in upholding the safety and reliability of our operations.

This position requires planning and executing scheduled maintenance on aircraft, ensuring they are in prime condition for any challenge.

The responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance Planning: Spearheading the planning and execution of scheduled maintenance to guarantee our aircraft are prepared for any situation.
  • Quality and Safety Management: Championing safety and quality by driving continual improvement, participating in audits, and fostering a positive safety culture.
  • Team Development: Empowering trainees and AMEs through mentoring and providing them with support and feedback to excel.
  • Cultural Leadership: Contributing to a vibrant shared culture within the Aviation department, working closely with project teams and building strong relationships.

Beyond these key responsibilities, additional opportunities may include assisting in the maintenance and repair of aircraft in other programs, traveling beyond your usual location for up to 10 weeks per year.

Key Qualifications & Skills

Prior qualifications and skills include:

  • A secondary school completion certificate
  • Completion of an approved aircraft maintenance engineer pre-employment course
  • An ICAO Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence without type rating
  • 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Aptitude in verbal, non-verbal, numerical, and mechanical reasoning
  • Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance
  • Understanding of Health and Safety principles

Additionally, desirable qualifications and skills include:

  • A National Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
  • Aircraft and engine type courses as required
  • Turbine or reciprocating engine experience
