We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Graduate Speech Pathologist to join our team in Western Australia.
As a key member of our community therapy team, you will work with individuals with disabilities to empower them to live their best lives. Our focus is on creating communities where everyone has the same choices and opportunities to thrive.
With a strong emphasis on the social model of disability, you will identify facilitators and barriers within your participants' environments and set meaningful goals within an interdisciplinary team. You will also share your thoughts, ideas, and solutions that have helped you meet your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
In this role, you will prepare evidence-based therapy plans and reports that highlight your participants' achievements and the supports they need to continue towards their set goals. You will evaluate progress and positive outcomes using person-centered tools, functional observations, and collaboration with participants, their family, and/or key stakeholders.
You will be part of a supportive and dynamic team that prioritizes ongoing learning and development. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, vehicle options, career development opportunities, paid parental leave, purchase leave options, wellbeing days, online Pilates and yoga, free snacks, coffee, tea, and vibrant pet-friendly hubs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate to transition from university to their new role with confidence. You will receive supervision, mentoring, self-directed learning, on-the-job training, and support from a dedicated team leader and admin team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy, be empathetic and understanding, resilient, curious, and self-directed. They will be driven to see high-impact outcomes in people's lives and committed to developing themselves and others while displaying Everyday Values.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around $100,000 per annum, based on national averages for similar positions in Western Australia.
