The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Digital Change. This is a permanent, full-time role based in either Sydney or Melbourne, reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Change. As the Head of Digital Change, you will lead a team of 6 professionals, including 3 Senior Managers, 1 Manager, and 2 Analysts. You will be at the forefront of delivering the firm's digital transformation program, one of the firm's key strategic ambitions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver all agreed outcomes for projects within the digital change portfolio in region – to budget and on time.
  • Support project teams to deliver these outcomes, for example, by contributing to stakeholder management, coaching with regard to approach, SME input into solution design. Provide an initial point of escalation to resolve all issues within region.
  • Provide input into investment decisions and governance processes relating to the digital change portfolio, informing the global change management strategy for digital, and proactively flagging / escalating issues when they arise.
  • Manage associated investment budgets.

Business Connection

  • Strong relationships and collaboration with practice group and business services leadership to align digital change initiatives with the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Communicate the firm's digital transformation vision and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including clients.

Team Management

  • Working with other senior members of the Digital Change team, build and maintain a high-performing global team to deliver digital change projects, including the recruitment, professional development, and supervision of direct and indirect reports.
  • Line management responsibility for in-region team members including conducting performance conversations, mentoring team members to ensure high performance, and addressing issues promptly with individuals and escalating conduct-related issues and performance (quality) on projects/reviews to the team's Associate Director.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in digital transformation or a related field with a proven track record of leading successful digital transformation initiatives and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes and associated technology.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a team to deliver successful outcomes in a complex stakeholder environment – to encompass but not limited to problem identification and solution design.
  • Strategic, solution-focused mindset – able to balance a desire for perfection with the need to achieve progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders. Internal candidates should have a strong internal network and be well-regarded by senior individuals within the firm.
  • Proven ability to develop a high-performing team.
