TAFE and Vocational Education Specialist

The Policy and Research Officer plays a vital role in supporting the advancement of objectives and policies. Focusing on TAFE and vocational education, this position works closely with the leadership team and National Campaign Director to drive the Rebuild with TAFE campaign.
- Undertake policy development, analysis and research to inform briefing papers, responses and submissions on key priorities.
- Provide advice and support for the implementation of campaigns, with a particular focus on the TAFE campaign.
- Collaborate with federal office staff to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including the National TAFE Council Executive.
- Report to decision-making bodies and forums as required.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key organisations at a national and state level.
Key Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge and experience of public education, particularly TAFE and vocational education.
- Strong understanding of national campaigns, including the Rebuild with TAFE campaign.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in high-level research and policy development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently as needed.
