As a key member of the Shred-X team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our recycling facility. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the facility is maintained to a high standard, emptying archive pallets and bins, and cleaning and repairing wheelie bins.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring all stock is returned to its correct place, checking loads are secure, and stacking empty pallets. You will also be required to move goods packed on pallets or crates around the facility and assist in the unloading and reloading of local trucks.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for loading export containers and semi-trailers to allowed load limits and operating shredding and bailing equipment in accordance with standards. You will also be required to check the quality of incoming and outgoing materials and report any non-compliance to the supervisor.
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as the ability to work autonomously and independently. You will also be required to have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to ensure that services meet quality objectives.

You will also be eligible for great benefits, including employee shopping discounts, an employee reward and recognition program, and an employee assistance program (EAP) through Drake Works.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo a Federal Police clearance check, be eligible to legally live and work in Australia, and undertake a pre-employment medical assessment relative to their position. They will also be required to meet appropriate immunisation requirements, including COVID-19 vaccinations.
