Operational Risk and Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to strengthen our risk and compliance capabilities in retail operations. This role offers a unique opportunity for experienced operational risk professionals to broaden their impact across a new business area.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced position that involves providing risk advisory services, designing and implementing controls, and driving control uplift initiatives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to inform business decisions and ensure effective risk management practices.

  1. Provide expert advice on risk and compliance matters to support business growth and minimize risk exposure.
  2. Design, implement, and assess controls aligned to operational and compliance risk frameworks, ensuring they are robust and effective.
  3. Drive control uplift initiatives and support assurance activities to maintain high-quality risk management practices.
  4. Draft reports and deliver insights through dashboards and trend analysis to inform senior stakeholders and governance forums.

About the Role:

This position requires proven experience in operational risk and compliance within financial services, ideally in retail banking and risk repositories. You must have expertise in control design, implementation, and assurance, as well as strong communication and advisory skills. Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics are essential for success in this role.
