We are seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter to join our team at UGL's heavy maintenance facility in Bassendean, Perth.

About the Role:
  • As an Electrical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in our maintenance and overhaul activities.
  • You will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, requalifying, and reassembling Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) and Locomotive components.
  • You will conduct brazing and insulation of cable and winding joints, as well as performing requalification inspections of bearings and pinions.
  • You will actively engage in Lean practices to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Measuring and inspecting critical journals and bores.
  • Conducting acceptance no-load testing on components, including vibration analysis.
  • Actively participating in UGL's OneHSE culture, which prioritizes safety for all team members.
Requirements:
  • A relevant Electrical Fitter or Electrical Machine Repair trade qualification.
  • Experience with AC & DC traction motors, alternators, or rotating electrical equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and measurement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
