Firesoft People is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Specialist to join our Sydney-based team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our trading FinTech platforms.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyse user stories and requirements for validity and feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments.
  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression).
  • Design and develop automation scripts.
  • Apply engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute maintainable test cases and regression test suites from analysis of user stories and process maps.
  • Provide advice on aspects of test planning, design, and execution.
  • Liaise with the delivery engineering team to correctly interpret what is required of the testing process and provide advice and communicate testing outcomes.
  • Manage and monitor the progress of allocated testing tasks and deliverables and advise/escalate issues.

About You

  • Fluent or native Mandarin speaker.
  • 1+ years of experience in Forex trading industry with a good understanding of trading basics and MT4/MT5.
  • 2+ years of experience as a QA Software Engineer.
  • Experience in testing APIs, Micro services, Web services, and Web pages.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with demonstrable experience driving issues to resolution.
  • Experience working closely with developers, product and delivery managers, and other stakeholders.
  • A desire to be involved in all aspects of product development from inception through planning, design, implementation, and delivery.
  • The ability to engage with software engineers to embed quality in all stages of development.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills - asking good questions, challenges assumptions and challenge existing ideas and viewpoints.
  • Test automation with knowledge in Java, Python.
  • Proficiency in Selenium Framework, JMeter, etc.
  • Experience in Agile environment and comfortable with fast-paced delivery process.
