About KU Sunbeam

KU Sunbeam Preschool is a respected institution in the Alexandria community, with a strong reputation dating back over 90 years.



Our team of dedicated educators is passionate about providing a nurturing environment for children between 2 to 6 years of age, offering extended hours of care until 4:30pm, 50 weeks a year.



Service Director Role

We are seeking a permanent, full-time Service Director to lead our team, bringing sound pedagogical knowledge and experience in developing relationships with children and families.



The successful candidate will be responsible for rostering, mentoring, and implementing daily routines and policies while maintaining a harmonious working environment.



Support and Benefits

You will have the backing of a dedicated service administrator, as well as support from our Education and Quality team, education support manager, learning and development facilitator, and wider services across the organisation.




  • 8 hours of work per day, Monday to Friday
  • Generous director's allowance
  • Monthly rostered day off, plus annual leave entitlements
  • 3 days of teaching and 2 days dedicated to administration


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • Australian working rights
  • At least 2 years of previous directing experience
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
  • Completed Child Protection Training, with a demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates, as well as approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • A sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • A working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
