Swimming Instructor Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for qualified swimming instructors who enjoy working with children and want to teach the skills of swimming and water safety.

The Role

As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching effective swimming and water safety techniques to help grow our swimming program. You may be required to work mornings, evenings, and weekends and must be empathetic to the needs of the classes.

We are looking for experienced and fun-loving swimming instructors with Infant's and Pre-School qualifications. Pool Lifeguard Qualifications would also be preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Teach swimming and water safety techniques to students of all ages and skill levels
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of the students
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
Requirements
  • Current Swimming Instructor Certificate
  • Current First Aid (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check & National Police Check)
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics Access and Inclusion (Desirable but not essential)
  • ASCTA qualification also being accepted
  • Energetic and innovative teaching style
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a strong part of the team
