Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Management Leader to join our team. As a key member of our water management group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of integrated water management across Australia.

The successful candidate will be supported by a talented team of experts to deliver key projects for major clients and drive the growth of our water-related project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of complex water management projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Manage and grow client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and building strong partnerships.
  • Oversee project resources, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
  • Take the lead in business development activities, preparing proposals and presentations, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental or Civil Engineering (or related field) with relevant experience in water resources/Integrated Water Management within a consulting business environment.
  • A strong technical foundation in hydrology/catchment modelling, water-sensitive urban design, and modelling software.
  • Proven project management experience, including planning, budgeting, and execution of water management projects.
  • Knowledge of integrated water management principles, practices, and limitations, including water, nutrient, and energy balance.
  • Ability to help formulate project scope, and guide client direction of planning projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
  • A strategic mindset and a strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining a focus on delivering quality results.
  • A passion for Australian waterways and the values they contribute to communities.
