About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Occupational Hygienist to join our team in Mount Isa, Australia. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in identifying, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling workplace hazards and exposures.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business leaders to limit and control workplace hazards and exposures.
- Develop and facilitate monitoring programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct workplace exposure assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist with product stewardship.
- Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and implement new ideas and technologies to reduce risks and exposures.
- Tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in Occupational Hygiene.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills, with the ability to work across multiple levels of the workforce.
- Demonstrated experience in occupational hygiene principles, practice, and application.
- Familiarity with OHS systems, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
