Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Mount Isa, Queensland. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with a diverse range of clients, providing occupational therapy services in collaboration with a range of specialists. You will have the opportunity to set your own schedule and make a real and valuable contribution to the community.
Key Responsibilities- Support participants' inclusion in communities and activities they choose;
- Assess clients' emotional, cognitive, developmental, and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardized assessments;
- Plan and direct programs through the use of vocational, recreational, social, and educational activities on an individual and group basis;
- Assess clients' functional potential in their home, leisure, work, and school environments, and recommend environmental adaptations to maximize their performance;
- Provide advice to family members, carers, employers, and teachers about adapting clients' home, leisure, work, and school environments;
- Deliver goal-directed early childhood supports;
- Assist with community education activities to improve the health of individuals by raising awareness of healthy lifestyles, diseases, and disabilities.
- Registered or eligible to obtain registration with AHPRA;
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification;
- Current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence;
- The right to live and work in Australia.
