We are seeking an experienced Community Development Professional to join our team as a Social Planning Officer on a permanent, full-time basis. As a key member of our Community Development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Blacktown by:

Reviewing social impact assessments for new developments and conducting research into community needs, ensuring that our social and cultural infrastructure remains responsive and inclusive.

Developing innovative strategies to address the evolving needs of our diverse community, working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and outcomes.

Providing expert advice on social planning and community engagement, leveraging your extensive knowledge and experience to inform decision-making and drive positive change.

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in social science, social planning, or a related field, along with significant work experience in community engagement or social planning. You will be highly skilled in primary research, data collection, and analysis, with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

A current Class C driver's license is also essential for this role. If you have experience working in local government or a similar environment, we encourage you to apply.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**What We Offer:**

  • A competitive salary range of $73,934 - $94,096 per annum (pro rata)
