About The Role

As a Multicultural Child Protection Caseworker, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children and families from diverse backgrounds. Your expertise in cross-cultural communication and community engagement will enable you to build strong relationships with families and provide tailored support to meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to reports of child harm or safety concerns, prioritizing the well-being and safety of children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, family members, children, and other agencies to develop safety plans and complete risk assessments.
  • Provide primary casework support to families from your target community, including cultural consultations and language support.
  • Participate in the Community Language Assistance Scheme to enhance your language skills and provide simple communication with families.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking a confident, curious, and resilient individual with a strong passion for working with vulnerable children and families. The essential requirements include:

  • A completed or in-progress Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, along with practical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A valid driver's license (P1 or above) and a paid working with children clearance number.
