As a graduate process engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving process improvement and sustainability initiatives at our flagship site.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with experienced engineers to enhance operational efficiency and develop engineering expertise in a leading Australian construction materials company.
  • Understanding and interpreting results from plant testing and data analysis.
  • Assessing and processing engineering checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyzing and reviewing audit reports and identifying potential hazards on site.
  • Working safely and understanding HSE requirements to minimize risk.
  • In the second year, contributing to the development of new low-carbon products that support Net Zero Carbon targets.
  • Managing plant upgrades and modifications to improve operational capacity and efficiency.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Completion or near completion of a tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.
  • A proactive attitude with commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive for achieving cost and efficiency gains through data-driven insights.
  • A positive, inquiring, can-do, and curious nature.
  • Interest and proficiency in data analytics and visualization is vital for success in this role.
  • Flexibility to travel within state and interstate as required.
  • Exposure or interest in heavy manufacturing, minerals processing, mining, and construction is highly valued.
