Mammographer - BreastScreen Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mammographer to join our team at Grampians Health. As a Mammographer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client-centered care to our clients.
This is a permanent part-time role with Grampians BreastScreen, requiring some level of flexibility in the delivery of the service. The successful applicant will also provide some assessment clinic services at agreed periods throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform screening mammography, stereotactic breast biopsies, and hookwire localizations as required.
- Meet the eligibility criteria for CMP (Certificate of Mammography Practice) by performing mammography a minimum of 150 hours per year.
- Produce high-quality images in line with the PGMI guidelines and Volpara standards.
- Confidently perform quality assurance related to mammography.
Must carry out work duties in a safe manner in accordance with policy and procedure in place at Grampians Health Radiography.
Must be able to assist the Grampians BreastScreen team in achieving ongoing accreditation status.
Will adopt a quality improvement mindset and work alongside the multidisciplinary team to continually improve work processes and client outcomes.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Medical Radiation Technologists Board of Victoria Licence.
- Hold or working towards CMP - Certificate of Mammography Practice.
- High level of organizational skills, with ability to work independently and with flexibility.
- High level of interpersonal, communication, and counseling/supportive care skills.
- High level of clinical ability demonstrating evidence-based best practice.
