Urban Planning Expert

We are seeking a seasoned urban planning professional to join our team. As a key member of our consulting group, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our cities and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or contribute to strategic land use planning projects, including growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies.
  • Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities, and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, community planning, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare and review reports, presentations, and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within an Urban Planning role.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/state government environment.
  • Proficient appreciation and understanding of strategic policies, processes, and influences.
  • Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
