The Role:

The Payroll Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes, providing high-quality advice, service, and support to staff and external stakeholders. This permanent full-time position within the Payroll department requires collaboration with various teams, including People and Culture, Finance, and external Payroll providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff and stakeholders, providing timely and efficient customer service.
  2. Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to line managers and staff on payroll matters, ensuring adherence to policy and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with the payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely preparation and processing of payroll data.
  4. Conduct audits of payroll processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with governance requirements.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field and/or a minimum of 2-3 years relevant industry experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the health sector.
  • Proficiency in Payroll programs, including experience with SAP.
