Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Education Specialist

The Art Gallery of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Education Specialist to join their team. As the most inspiring art destination in Australia, the gallery's vision is to serve the community by transforming the lives of artists and audiences.
Based on the Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework, and SACE learning assessment requirements, this specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing education programs that promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and delivering workshops, writing resources, and supporting festivals and events.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, and government departments. A good general knowledge of art history, including sound knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, is also essential.
The successful candidate will contribute to a culture that values and respects diversity and models this in all interactions. In accordance with Section 52(2) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA), applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
