About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated graduate teachers to join our team in Canberra. As a graduate teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic public school setting, teaching a range of subjects to students from preschool to year 12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of subjects to students from preschool to year 12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess and report on student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in education or a related field
  • Ability to teach across a broad age and ability range
  • Knowledge and successful application of the Australian Curriculum
  • Positive classroom management skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Proven experience establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents/carers

Eligibility Requirements
  • Education qualifications – An approved four-year full-time tertiary teaching qualification or two-year masters teaching qualification
  • Teacher registration – A valid approval to teach with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)
  • Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration – A valid ACT WWVP
  • Approved working status – Be an Australian citizen and/or be permanent resident and/or hold a valid working visa
