Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain cost planning and estimation processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian Industry Standards.
- Manage and lead a team of Cost Planners and Estimators to deliver accurate and timely cost plans and estimates.
- Develop and maintain cost plans and estimates for all stages of cost estimation, including concept, budget, and construction.
- Ensure effective and value-for-money procurement and appointment of suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Develop and maintain cost management processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in cost planning and estimation, with a strong background in commercial construction.
- Degree qualified in a commercial or construction-related field.
- Sound knowledge of cost planning, construction estimating, budget analysis, and cost control principles, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively investigate and produce cost plans and estimates where limited information is provided.
- Sound knowledge of the practices and procedures for preparing cost plans and estimates.
- Experience in managing and evaluating claims and variations and obtaining value-for-money outcomes.
- Experience in the practice of opportunity and risk reviews to obtain value-for-money outcomes.
- Ability to interpret general architectural, interior design, structural, and building services drawings.
- A working knowledge of integrated financial management systems.
- Experience in cost management and the use of software packages, including CUBIT estimating software, DataBuild cost management software, and Procore.
