Job Opportunity for a Skilled Information Technology Specialist

The Queensland Government is seeking a highly skilled Information Technology specialist to contribute to the provision and support of reliable Information Communication and Technology (ICT) systems and information.

This role involves assisting with the development and support of departmental business systems, including design, coding, testing, and corrections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and support of ICT systems, ensuring compliance with agreed tools, methodologies, and standards.
  • Investigate and resolve issues relating to ICT systems, assist with maintenance procedures, and carry out routine operational tasks.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and processes to promote software quality and assist with quality reviews.
  • Provide work estimates and advice on technical solutions to information systems issues, including review of estimates developed by team members.
  • Apply knowledge of system design and contemporary development life cycle methodologies to develop innovative solutions for information systems issues.
  • Provide timely advice on technical issues related to maintaining and supporting existing ICT systems.
  • Maintain networks and working relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders through effective interpersonal communication.
