A Project Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by working closely with project managers and providing expert guidance on project planning, scheduling, and financial performance monitoring.
Key responsibilities include implementing a disciplined approach to project oversight, tracking and reporting on financial status, ensuring accurate project schedules and resource plans, providing technical coaching and support to project teams, and upholding organizational procedures and contractual requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess current Australian Government NV1 security clearance or eligibility to obtain, a tertiary qualification or professional certification in Project Management, expert knowledge of Microsoft Project, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Power BI, strong organizational, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and minimum 2+ years' experience working in a similar role as part of a Program Management Office (PMO).
Requirements- Current Australian Government NV1 security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
- Tertiary qualification or professional certification in Project Management, providing sound understanding of Project Management principles, planning methods, and schedule construction.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project and ability to support project management applications.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for engaging with teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Minimum of 2+ years working in a similar role as part of a Program Management Office (PMO), supporting large programs with multiple projects and project managers.
- At least two years' experience working as a Project Scheduler using Microsoft Project.
