Aboriginal Case Manager Job Summary

Corrections Victoria is seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Case Manager to work with our team. This role involves managing a caseload of Aboriginal offenders, conducting risk assessments, preparing case plans, and providing interventions to reduce the risk of reoffending.

The successful candidate will need to develop relationships with Aboriginal organizations, communicate effectively with community members, and have knowledge of case management processes and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of Aboriginal offenders and conduct regular reviews to assess their progress.
  • Prepare and implement case plans to address the underlying causes of offending behavior.
  • Provide interventions and support to help Aboriginal offenders overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Aboriginal organizations and community groups to strengthen case management practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of case management processes and frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal community members.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people and communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
