About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Green Leaves Early Learning. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to our children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare a wide variety of meals, purees, and special diet meals for babies and children, as well as freshly baked treats for families.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including stock rotation, budgeting, and shopping for the kitchen.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our families, including greeting and interacting with them in a friendly manner, and providing barista service.
- Display excellent verbal, written, and time management skills, with high levels of initiative.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, in accordance with food safety and council regulations.
- Work collaboratively with our kitchen hand to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Develop and lead culinary classes for our children and families.
- Prior experience working in a childcare or aged care kitchen is essential.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, up to 37.5 hours per week.
