About the Role

This position involves responding to requests to assist in transporting critically ill patients between hospitals as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will work closely with medical professionals and other healthcare experts to provide high-quality care.

  • Responding to emergency calls and coordinating patient transportation.
  • Providing support, supervision, and training for junior medical staff.
  • Ensuring accurate patient documentation is recorded during retrievals and completing necessary paperwork according to policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) registered in Victoria.
  • Relevant specialist medical qualifications (FACEM, FANZCA, FCICM, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in medical retrieval is desirable.
  • Competence in video/telehealth consultation and interagency coordination is also desirable.
