Leadership Position Overview

This is a dynamic Veterinary Director role that requires a leader to shape the future of veterinary care across two well-established clinics in the Australian Capital Territory.

The ideal candidate will lead, inspire and elevate standards of care in a collaborative environment, guiding and supporting a dedicated team to foster a unified culture of clinical excellence and compassionate care.

The role provides exclusive access to the Lincoln Institute's Leading Edge for Veterinarians course, a 52-week leadership program valued at over $9,000, designed to empower the successful applicant with tools to lead effectively.

The clinic is modern, well-equipped and located in a bustling retail precinct, offering a diverse caseload and strong community presence.

All clinics are equipped with advanced technology, streamlining clinical documentation so the successful applicant can focus more on patient care and team leadership.

The comprehensive equipment includes dental x-ray, multiple dental units, ultrasound, digital radiography x-ray, fluid pumps, multiparameter monitors, Bair Hugger, tonometer, Vet-Tome, Doppler, ECG, and Vorotek headlight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire the veterinary and nursing team fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care and client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and support less-experienced vets and nurses, cultivating a strong learning environment.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, from routine check-ups to complex cases, using evidence-based practices.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, guiding them through treatment options and care plans.
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and reputation within the local community.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Veterinary degree accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC), or completion of NAVLE, AVE, or similar examinations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a passion for team development.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, industry-leading care.
