About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. You will have extensive experience in collaboration with project teams, stakeholders and Defence teams to gain technical Authority To Operate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure mission and support ICT systems adhere to ISM, DSPF and Defence security policies.
  • Identify threats and vulnerabilities arising from ICT system design.
  • Develop and maintain system SOPs and security procedural artefacts.
  • Review and shape Defence security documentation for Program systems developed by System Integrators and vendors.
  • Collaborate with vendors, Defence IT teams, operational units and senior leadership to integrate cyber security into decision-making.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in an information technology role with exposure to information security.
  • Extensive experience with the ISM and Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF).
  • Experience working in leading cyber security initiatives within ASD, DDG or CASG.
  • Experience working with DevSecOps and Agile project delivery methodologies.
  • Australian citizenship and a minimum NV1 security clearance with ability to upgrade to NV2.
