Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS to lead the design and rollout of a new cloud infrastructure. This role will play a key part in our company's growth, involving the transition from an existing hosting setup to a more scalable and flexible AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and build a secure, scalable, and high-availability AWS infrastructure to support our SaaS platform.
  • Lead the end-to-end migration from our current third-party hosting provider to AWS.
  • Develop processes, tooling, and automation for migrating customer environments and data into our new AWS infrastructure.
  • Apply hands-on expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Datadog to provision, monitor, and manage cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with development team to containerize and optimize PHP/MySQL applications for AWS deployment.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and automated deployments.
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Define security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance procedures across our AWS environment.
  • Support post-migration operations and continuous infrastructure improvement.
  • Implement robust database backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate with current hosting providers and third-party vendors to ensure a smooth and secure transition to AWS.

This role requires a deep understanding of AWS core services, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and others. Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation and experience with containerization (Docker) and AWS orchestration (ECS, EKS) is also necessary.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of AWS core services.
  • Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and AWS orchestration (ECS, EKS).
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
  • Able to implement infrastructure controls and audit mechanisms to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Skilled in creating infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides.
