Job Description

As an Electronics Engineer - Aviation Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of advanced electronic systems across various Air Force domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of skilled technicians to maintain and configure airborne electronic systems for daily missions.
  • Collaborate with defence industry partners to modify, upgrade, and sustain Air Force equipment.
  • Apply project and engineering management skills to acquire new capability and meet Australia's evolving needs.
  • Influence aviation safety by investigating technical incidents and managing workforce standards.
Training and Career Progression

We offer comprehensive training and development opportunities to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in this role. You will undergo Initial Military Training and then undertake a Professional Development and Training year, during which you will rotate through different roles on an Air Force base.

Upon completion of your initial employment training, you will be posted to a formal position and continue to rotate through new roles every 2-3 years to gain experience and develop your skills as a competent engineering leader.

You will have the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications and experience, such as becoming a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in the Leadership and Management College of Engineers Australia (EA).
