About this opportunity

We're seeking a Waste Management Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about problem-solving and committed to safety and compliance.

You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective processing of various hazardous liquid chemical waste streams.

  • Provide technical support for liquid and technical waste acceptance, treatment, and storage.
  • Deliver analytical support to sales teams and external customers.
  • Assist operations with waste management activities.
  • Run treatability trials and select suitable methods for waste treatment.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.

What you'll need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Chemistry with experience working with waste or hazardous chemicals in an industrial environment.
  • Previous exposure to wastewater treatment, chemical fixation, and stabilisation facilities, and field sampling experience.
  • Proficiency in operating laboratory instruments.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessments and work instructions preparation.
  • Accurate record-keeping skills within regulated environments.
  • Solid understanding of chemical handling legislation.
