Job Title:

Team Leader for Trauma-Informed Support Services">

This role oversees the preparation and delivery of Counselling and Psychological Care (CPC) components within Redress for Historical Institutional Abuse and the National Redress Scheme.

The Team Leader collaborates closely with individuals who have experienced institutional child abuse and support services to adapt policy, program documentation and processes to facilitate CPC functions.

The position contributes to developing and implementing trauma-informed procedures to deliver high-quality services, working across the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, government departments and senior executives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and lead a team by guiding employees to achieve their full potential and contribute to organisational goals and outcomes.
  2. Model good people management and departmental values.
  3. Manage and monitor annual plans for improvement objectives.
  4. Build and maintain positive relationships with peers and stakeholders.

The role serves as a point of contact for those contacting Redress and the National Scheme, providing information, referrals, support and advice as required.

The position offers trauma-informed support to individuals contacting Redress, prioritising safety and trust throughout the process.
