Senior Clinical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Specialist to lead our clinical team and drive practice excellence in sexual assault and family violence response.

This role offers the opportunity to influence and shape the delivery of services, ensuring that we provide safe and effective care to those who need it most.

You will be responsible for providing supervision, training, and professional development opportunities to your team members, as well as contributing to the development of evidence-based policies and procedures.

About the Role

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver consumer-focused care, using your expertise in trauma-informed practice to support individuals and families affected by sexual assault and family violence.

  • You will provide high levels of specialist knowledge, advice, or guidance to other clinicians, supporting them to deliver safe and effective care.
  • Lead/oversee high-performing clinical teams, providing expert advice on clinical issues as required.
  • Work collaboratively with consumers, their families, and/or significant others, and other stakeholders to establish a patient/client focused multidisciplinary management plan, consistent with currently accepted professional standards of practice and evidenced based practice.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  1. An ability to work independently within approved scope of practice to provide safe, evidence-based assessment, outcome measures, therapeutic care and/or discharge planning according to organisational policies and procedures in order to achieve optimal care.
  2. Demonstrated extensive clinical experience working with and responding to complex trauma related to sexual assault and/or family violence.
  3. Crisis intervention skills necessary for supporting people who have experienced sexual assault and/or family violence.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience in preparing written reports for therapeutic and legal purposes.
  5. Excellent team work, interpersonal and communication skills, including building trust and rapport with colleagues and delivery of commitments.
