Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Venue Manager to lead our gastro pub in Mitcham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of service, and driving business growth. Responsibilities:

  • Management: Oversee daily operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Rostering: Efficiently manage staff schedules to meet venue needs and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Financial Acumen: Monitor budgets, analyze financial reports, and drive profitability through effective cost control and revenue growth strategies.
  • Training & Coaching: Lead onboarding and ongoing training initiatives for staff, focusing on developing their skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Performance: Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets to achieve business goals, including sales growth, customer satisfaction, and staff retention.
  • Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance venue visibility, attract new customers, and increase brand awareness.
  • Ordering: Manage stock levels, maintain supplier relationships, and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal pricing and quality.
  • Community Engagement: Foster a strong sense of community and be an ambassador for the Mitcham area, building relationships with local businesses and residents.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably in a gastro pub or restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on developing staff skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Financial literacy and understanding of profit margins, with experience in budgeting and cost control.
  • Passion for building community relationships and a strong sense of community engagement.
  • Knowledge of the Mitcham area is a plus, but not essential.
  • RSA and Food Safety certifications are necessary for this role.
