Infrastructure Systems Expertise

Design, delivery, maintenance and implementation of tunnel control systems for a safe, efficient and integrated transport system.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with system integration, smart network technologies, ITS, CCTV and Telecommunication Networks and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

An understanding of system architecture is essential, including the ability to assess and implement tunnel systems where appropriate, while recognizing when such configurations may not be necessary for efficient operations.

This role requires a strategic thinker capable of delivering scalable, secure, and resilient solutions across diverse operational landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide systems engineering and assurance functions for the branch and broader branch strategic delivery portfolio.
  • Maintain a holistic view of business and technology systems and act as a trusted expert who will drive consistent systems engineering and assurance methodologies and practices across the Transport cluster.
  • Adhere to and maintain a rigorous systems engineering governance framework that applies best practices and industry-leading methodologies and supports projects in delivering outcomes that are safe, reliable and fit for their intended purpose.

Requirements:

  • A four-year engineering degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications.
  • A valid Australian motor vehicle driver's license and be willing to work outside regular working hours and travel interstate on occasion.
