The role of Farmland Investment Analyst involves close collaboration with the Senior Regional Asset Manager to oversee and enhance a portfolio of farmland investments. This includes identifying new acquisition opportunities and implementing value-added development strategies.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated individual eager to learn and advance within our seasoned team. Key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Daily asset management and portfolio oversight.
  • Financial reporting and analysis.
  • Commodity marketing and farm mapping.
  • Maintenance of farm data and records.
  • Ensuring compliance with WH&S and ESG standards.

The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Economics, Commerce, Accounting, Investment, or Management. A background in Horticulture, Viticulture, or Cropping industries, along with 2-4 years of experience in Agribusiness Management, Asset Management, or Investment Management, is preferred. Experience in Horticulture or Viticulture is highly desirable.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel.
  • Financial modeling capabilities and a willingness to enhance skills.
  • Basic knowledge of property valuation, farm budgeting, and agronomic systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and financial skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Competence in drafting and presenting proposals, reports, and research documents.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
