Job Description:

We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator to join our exploration drilling team in the Bowen Basin area.

The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for providing support and guidance to the team on safety and training management, ensuring high standards across all locations.

  • Conduct field leadership activities in alignment with client requirements
  • Liaise with client representatives on safety and training related matters
  • Assist the site leadership team with incident investigations and close out in a timely manner
  • Coach/support the teams with hazard identification and risk assessments
  • Champion the Critical Risk Management program
  • Deliver effective training and VOC assessments in the field
  • Assist with Fitness for Work testing (BAC, Drug and Hydration Testing)
  • Maintenance of data and records across various internal and client management systems

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have relevant WHS qualification, minimum Cert IV WHS Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), Standard 11 induction, operate and maintain a four-wheel drive vehicle (RIIVEH305), 3 + years working experience in a similar role within the mining industry, current First Aid Certificate, HR drivers' licence, National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months), and able to pass a QLD coal board medical.
