Job Description

Overview of the Role

This position is a key part of our delivery operations, where you will oversee the final stage of our logistics chain. You will manage a specific sortation area handling parcels or parcel delivery at one of our operational sites.

Your tasks include promoting a culture of best practice, ensuring safe working conditions, meeting productivity goals, and collaborating with delivery service partners to deliver packages to customers.

Our team handles last-mile delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of products into customers' hands while focusing on making their delivery experience smooth and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and audit plans for Delivery Service Partners, including staffing, schedules, quality initiatives, and performance levels.
  • Promote best practices and continuous process improvements across your team in areas like health and safety and productivity.
  • Evaluate on-the-road capacity for deliveries during peak business times.
  • Pilot new service types on-site, such as electric vehicles and cargo bikes.
  • Perform performance reviews with Delivery Service Partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  2. Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  3. Previous experience in leading large and diverse teams.
  4. Proven experience in managing managers and leading high-performing teams.
  5. 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  6. 2+ years of performance metrics and process improvement experience.

Desirable qualifications include experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills, and experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
