Job Summary

The role of an Electorate Officer is pivotal in serving the community, requiring a high level of trust and integrity.

This position involves working in a Member of Parliament's electorate office, interacting daily with constituents, community organisations and other stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support and managing the office effectively
  • Delivering exceptional constituent services
  • Fostering strong relationships through media and stakeholder engagement
  • Executing parliamentary duties efficiently

About You

We seek an individual who embodies attributes such as responsiveness, effectiveness, and accountability. They should demonstrate initiative, ability to perform a range of office support tasks, and exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.

The ideal candidate will possess sound computer skills, experience in MS suite software, and online communications. They must also commit to providing top-notch client service, maintaining confidentiality on sensitive matters, and exercising sound judgment when handling media and external enquiries.

In addition, they should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, respect colleagues' needs, and uphold the values and Code of Conduct inherent to this role.
