Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team in Stapylton. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for testing, repair, and maintenance of various machinery, including manufacturing in-house/fit-for-function Press tools, jigs, fixtures, and one-off components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, fixtures, and tools using machine tools and hand tools.
  • Examine faulty machinery and equipment for defects and remove and replace damaged parts.
  • Undertake regular emergency repairs of metal parts of machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain sufficient levels of inventory to support all tool maintenance.
  • Implement a routine maintenance program for all tools in the business.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to optimize tooling processes for improved manufacturing productivity.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop innovative tooling methods.
  • Provide technical support to ensure smooth production.
Requirements
  • Trade-qualified Toolmaker or similar trade.
  • Dedicated to safety and maintaining high-quality work.
  • Welding and fabrication experience (desirable).
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of press tooling, processes, and technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge in the design of press and forming tooling.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering and production processes.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team to meet objectives.
