Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to enhance our operations in Stapylton. This dynamic role involves the testing, repair, and maintenance of diverse machinery. You will be tasked with the in-house production of functional press tools, jigs, fixtures, and unique components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and fit components to create, repair, or modify dies, jigs, fixtures, and tools using both machine and hand tools.
• Inspect malfunctioning machinery and equipment for defects.
• Replace damaged components as necessary.
• Perform regular emergency repairs on metal parts of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels to support all tool maintenance activities.
• Implement a routine maintenance schedule for all tools utilized in the business.
• Interpret and analyze technical drawings.
• Enhance tooling processes to boost manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate on innovative tooling techniques across various teams.
• Provide technical assistance to ensure seamless production operations.

Candidate Profile:

• Trade Qualified Toolmaker or equivalent qualification.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Experience in welding and fabrication is desirable.
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of press tooling, processes, and technologies.
• Extensive understanding of the design aspects of press and forming tooling.
• Solid grasp of engineering and production methodologies.
• Able to work collaboratively within a small team to achieve objectives.
