Job Title: Primary School Teacher
Job Summary:
St George Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to join our team. As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the curriculum in a manner consistent with the guidelines and policies set by the school board and leadership team, and from a Christian worldview perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning: Maintain a learning environment in which students are encouraged to have positive attitudes towards learning, and in which challenging and achievable expectations are set for students.
- Assessment and Feedback: Effectively assess student performance and provide feedback in an encouraging and confidence-building manner.
- Planning and Implementation: Plan and carry out daily activities to fulfill the objectives of the school's educational policies and mission statement.
- Relationship Building: Build relationships with students and parents in a manner that establishes a partnering approach to learning.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- Experience: Experience teaching at primary school levels.
- Christian Worldview: Sound knowledge of teaching from a Christian worldview perspective.
- Communication Skills: Ability to utilise a range of teaching strategies as may be relevant and build strong partnering relationships and communication channels with students and parents.
