Physical Therapist for Emergency Department
">This role is ideal for a skilled Physical Therapist with experience in emergency department settings.
">The purpose of this position is to provide expert physical therapy services in the Emergency Department, working closely with medical and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care.
">As a Physical Therapist in this team, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex and chronic conditions, using your advanced clinical skills and judgment to develop effective treatment plans.
">You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve positive outcomes for patients, applying your knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines to inform decision-making.
">With a focus on delivering high-quality patient care, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of emergency services at our health district.

- Develop and implement effective treatment plans in consultation with medical and nursing teams">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy">
Selection Criteria:
">- ">
- Clinical experience in Physiotherapy, with substantial experience working in emergency departments and/or as a primary contact practitioner treating challenging patients with chronic and complex conditions">
- Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and demonstrated core competency skills in Cardiorespiratory, orthopaedic, gerontology, and Neurological Physiotherapy">
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders across all organisational levels">
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete, and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff">
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex, or critical nature">
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and teaching and clinical supervision and teaching of undergraduate/graduate entry level students">
