Early Childhood Director

This is a permanent full-time Director/Teacher position at Lady Gowrie Child Centre. You will work a 9-day fortnight, teaching Monday and Tuesday with 4 days a fortnight for non-contact work. Wednesdays are designated for staff meetings, team building and professional development with each alternate one being your day off.
About the CentreLady Gowrie Child Centre is a non-profit community kindergarten and is affiliated with Lady Gowrie QLD. We have an excellent reputation in the community for providing a high-quality play-based kindergarten program and are rated as "Exceeding" the National Quality Standards.
About YouWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about early years education, community kindergarten and creating an inclusive experience for all children and their families. The successful candidate will:
- be able to demonstrate their experience as a Director and be well-versed in their understanding and application of the NQF, NQS, EYLF V2.0 and the QKLG.
- demonstrate extensive experience in leading a team of teachers and educators and the ability and desire to work with alongside them to support the needs of the children and families in the Centre's care.
- demonstrate experience in developing and fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians, community networks, schools and allied health professionals.
- be passionate about play-based learning and demonstrate their ability to provide high-quality, authentic and stimulating learning programs and environments that enhance children's learning and development.
- be committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practices.
- have high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
You will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (must be recognised by ACECQA)
- Queensland College of Teacher Registration or be eligible for Teacher Registration in Queensland
- Experience as a Director of a Kindergarten
- Recognised First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
- Blue Card or Exemption Card
- Child Protection Training or willingness to undertake training prior to commencement
