Job Description:

We require a skilled plasterer to perform high-quality plastering work on residential and commercial construction sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing interior and exterior surfaces, applying and finishing coats of plaster, and executing smoothing and decorative texture creation techniques using various tools.

They will also install and finish architectural features such as cornices, mouldings, and ceiling surrounds, read and interpret technical drawings, and set up and dismantle scaffolding safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for plaster application by cleaning, levelling, and bonding.
  • Apply and finish coats of plaster, cement render, acrylic mixtures, and other specialized materials.
  • Execute smoothing, decorative texture creation, and refined finishing techniques using trowels, brushes, and sandpaper.
  • Install and finish architectural features such as cornices, mouldings, and ceiling surrounds.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure precision in angles, joins, and plan layouts.
  • Set up and dismantle scaffolding or trestles safely.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Vocational qualification in solid plastering (e.g., Certificate III in Solid Plastering) or equivalent trade recognition.
  • Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in solid plastering.
  • Proficiency in mixing and applying plaster, render, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to work from plans and execute detailed finishing with high precision.
  • Strong understanding of Australian safety standards and workplace protocols.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
