We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Safety and Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Genesis Minerals Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical advice and coaching to employees, leaders, and contractor personnel on safety and risk management practices.
- Support the development and implementation of safety and risk management systems and processes.
- Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement return-to-work programs for employees.
- Screen employees for fitness to work and conduct drug and alcohol testing.
- Support the management of critical risks and provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
- Minimum of Certificate IV: Health & Safety.
- ICAM Lead Investigator (or equivalent).
- Drug & Alcohol – Authorised Tester.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of WHS Act and Regulations.
